Package not sent but paid on Vinted, what to do?

Introduction

You’re at home, waiting for your Vinted package. You’ve paid for it, and it’s supposed to arrive any minute now. But then you realize: Where is it? Why hasn’t the package arrived? This is a common delivery issue on Vinted. Here’s what to do in 5 steps if your package hasn’t arrived on time:
P.S.: If you’re a seller, we’ve written the perfect guide for shipping your Vinted package.

1) Wait, sometimes your package arrives 14 days after payment is received.

Vinted is a marketplace for second-hand clothing and items, not a courier service. Vinted has no control over the delivery of your package. You need to contact the seller directly to resolve any issues, as they are responsible for shipping your package and providing tracking information.

2) Revisit the seller’s profile to see if there are notes about shipping times.

Sellers may have notes on their profile explaining the shipping timeframe for the item. These notes can be found in the “Shipping and Delivery” section of the seller’s profile.

  • If a seller has indicated that they are shipping from abroad, the delivery of your package may take longer than usual. This can take up to 3 weeks or more, depending on their location and the distance from their country to yours.
  • If a seller has not provided any shipping time information, it could mean:
    • they are not selling anything new at the moment, so there’s no information available to share; or
    • Your order is being shipped directly by a foreign supplier who does not specify shipping times since the items are already in transit before leaving their warehouse/home.
    • They are using an individual delivery service (like FedEx or La Poste) instead of having access to UPS tracking data.

3) Write to the seller and try to get a response.

As a buyer, you can message the seller and ask them to respond. If they don’t reply after you’ve messaged them at least once, you should open a dispute with Vinted.

4) Click on “problem with my order” and file a complaint against the seller.

If the seller hasn’t shipped your package, you can file a complaint against them.

  • Click on “Problem with my order,” then choose the option “I haven’t received my package.”
  • The next page will ask you to specify what type of problem it is and how long it has been since your order. Then click “Next” or “Continue.”
  • On the next page, select the payment method used for your purchase (e.g., PayPal or credit card), then click “Continue.”
  • Fill in all the required information about your identity, your residence, etc., and upload a screenshot of your receipt or the order confirmation email sent by Vinted*.

5) Remember: Vinted will refund you if your package isn’t shipped on time.

As a buyer, it’s important to remember that Vinted will refund you if your package isn’t shipped on time. The seller has an additional two days to respond before Vinted refunds your money.

If you feel the seller is taking too long, send them a friendly message asking for updates on the unshipped package. You can also share your experience on their profile so that other buyers know what happened with this particular seller and ensure they don’t face issues too!

Conclusion

Don’t forget: Vinted will refund you if your package isn’t shipped on time. Want to get in touch with Vinted? Contact Vinted support. Keep in mind, they don’t have a live chat available 24/7, so you’ll need to be patient.
