How to cancel an order on Vinted?

What are the conditions for canceling an order on Vinted?

You should know that you can cancel a Vinted order directly in the conversation with the buyer or seller (depending on your role at that moment) in just a few clicks! However, there are a few cancellation conditions to keep in mind.

Let’s consider two scenarios:

• The item has not been shipped
• The item has been shipped

a) The item has not been shipped

You can easily cancel a Vinted order by following the steps listed below:

1. Click on the message tab in the bottom right corner of the app.
2. Open the conversation you had with the Vintie.
3. Click on the ⓘ button located at the top right of the page to access the details page.
4. Scroll down the menu and click on Cancel the transaction.
5. Select the reason for your cancellation from the dropdown list that appears, or click on Other to write your reason for cancellation.

b) The item has been shipped

You cannot cancel the sale of an item on the Vinted app once the package has been handed over to the carrier of your choice (La Poste, Mondial Relay, etc.) and has already been shipped.

However, once the package is delivered to the pickup point of your choice, you have between 8 and 14 days to collect it. If you do not pick it up within this timeframe, the package will automatically be returned to the seller. The transaction will then be canceled, and the seller can relist their item on Vinted.

4 Tips Before Canceling Your Order on Vinted

1. It’s important to have mutual agreement between the buyer and seller before canceling the order. Otherwise, you risk receiving negative feedback.
2. If the shipping label has already been downloaded, the seller must confirm that the package has not yet been shipped.
3. In some cases, Vinted may directly cancel the sale of the item.
